003761 - Seasonal Waste Composition Analysis of Durham County Council Municipal Waste

Durham County Council (DCC) are looking to explore the market options for a contractor that will deliver a comprehensive waste composition analysis of DCC’s municipal waste streams across four distinct seasonal periods within a 12-month programme. The study will look at the physical composition of municipal waste, identifying and quantifying key materials present throughout the year. The services will include the sampling, sorting, categorisation, data capture, and reporting of municipal waste, with a specific focus on materials falling within the scope of relevant policy and regulatory frameworks. This includes, but is not limited to: • Materials subject to the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) • Containers and materials relevant to the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) • Plastic films and flexible packaging materials • Textiles • Organics (Food & Green Waste)
