Further Competition from EMP for 16+ Supported Accommodation Service Q1 April - June 2026

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement exercise, in accordance with the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), and intends to establish an Electronic Market Place ("EMP") with Providers with relevant experience and ability for the provision of Supported Accommodation to looked after or care leavers aged 16+. The Council established a 16+ Supported Accommodation Electronic Market Place (EMP) to meet its duties under the Childrens Act 1989 & 2004 when securing a Supported Accommodation placement for either; · a looked after child is placed in an 'other arrangements' placement or · a care leaver is placed in 'suitable accommodation' Category 1 - Supported Accommodation in a self-contained unit. The accommodation is for the sole use of the child or for the child and other individuals living with the child (For example; partner, sibling or children) as agreed by the Council.
