Out of Hours GP ServicesWhat this lot coversCwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board CTMUHB has entered into a contract with a provider for the continuation of the GP services for In and Out of Hours within Parc Prison. The contract will provide a GP service for In Hours and Out of Hours Services to patients of His Majesty’s Prison (HMP) & Young Offender Institution (YOI) in Parc Prison. The purpose of healthcare in prisons and YOIs is to provide an excellent, safe, and effective service to all ensuring the quality of services delivered (and access to services) is of an equivalent standard to that of the community. This is both in terms of range of interventions available to patients which meet their needs, and the quality and standard of those interventions. This all contributes towards reducing health inequalities between patients in prison and in the wider community. The contract is awarded under the “light touch regime” under Schedule 3 of the Public Services Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended).
