The SSP is a new programme following on from the Sudan Stability and Growth Programme (SSGP), which aims to continue and deepen the UK’s conflict resolution and mitigation work previously delivered. Building the conditions for a national-level dialogue with engagement from civil actors.  The SSP’s key objectives are to: • Support grassroots civil society groups and local conflict management as means to promote social cohesion and mitigate protection risks.   • Strengthening local governance institutions and promoting inclusivity, particularly considering women and other marginalised groups. • Countering misinformation, disinformation and hate speech • Producing continual conflict and political analysis that informs programmatic interventions and a broader Thinking and Working Politically approach that supports diplomatic efforts. The SSP is expected to have an overall value of up to £39 million over five years, with this specific contractual component expected to receive approximately £30 million (£6 million annually).
